Todays food for thought is your man and the things his mother never taught him, specifically keeping house. So you've finally got him to help you out around the house, washing dishes and things of that nature, alas your not satisfied with his performance. Hes washed the dishes and left the kitchen...fifty percent of the job left undone. Before you come at him with the attitude what you need to realize is maybe he wasn't raised like that. So put him d to some new things, "Babe you missed a spot you can't just wash the dishes and not wipe down the counter tops, stove, microwave, et cetera et cetera," and enjoy your newly clean kitchen, because real talk when your house is a mess your life is a mess. Get some.

Lil Wayne and Drake meeting each other was the best thing to happen to the Hip Hop world in a long time. Words can't describe.

Yeah what he said. So keep all of that gossip/hatred/jealousy stuff to yourself because I want no part of it, I'm too fly for that....and keep in mind the same 'friends' that go around gossiping with you about other people sure won't have a problem gossiping with other people about you, because either way they're not confident in their own abilities; avoid them, or change your situation...let them know that its not okay with you to be having that conversation. If they aren't on your level then forget about it.

Theres The Beef

Before I went to sleep this morning after drinking a glass of milk a question came to mind, "How do cows become so fat?" All cows do is eat grass and drink milk. Milk which is used to feed infants before they're able to digest 'real' food. Cows milk only contains 3.6% fat. Guinea pigs I can understand with their 46%. What really baffles me about how large these animals are is the fact that they even throw up their food, re-chew it, re-swallow it; so its super digested and another reason for them to not be so big. While cows are born at around fifty to a hundred pounds I really don't see a reason for them to grow so large, what with their diet and everything. I guess cows are just 'big-boned'. Another mystery goes unsolved.

Please be good to yourself. Stand up. Say no, even if you're not the person to say no because it makes you uncomfortable. If you don't come out of your comfort zone surely you'll be destined for uncomfort. I mean its okay to give, but it has to be to an extent. Ask yourself this, "How much can I give and still have comfort for myself?" In William Ury's The Power of a Positive No he talks about the difficulties that come along with exercising your power and tending to your relationship. He discusses the power-versus-relationship struggle in a system which he calls "The Three-A Trap," which encompasses: accommodation, attacking, and avoidance.

In the section about accommodation he talks about saying yes when you want to say no. He describes how saying yes when you want to say no is destructive because it undermines your deeper interest. In opposition to his views on accommodation Ury next describes attacking your solicitor, saying no without concern for your relationship. He simulates accommodation with fear and attacking with anger. The third 'A' in Ury's "Three-A Trap" is avoidance, saying nothing at all because your'e afraid of being offensive. Saying nothing never accomplishes anything. Ury uses 'A Powerful No' as the way out of "The Three-A Trap."

Ury explains 'A Powerful No' as the combination of using your power and reserving your relationship. He talks about how saying NO is actually saying YES; saying yes to yourself and protecting what is important to you. Then hes says how a 'Positive No', in short, is a Yes! No. Yes?. The first yes being an affirmation of your being. The second Yes being an invitation to come to a mutual agreement. He distinguishes the difference between a positive no and accommodation is the respect you give to yourself and your desires. He describes the difference between attacking and a positive no as the respect you give your solicitor as you say no to their demand;standing on your feet and not on their toes.

I didn't actually read this book. I just happened across it while searching for a quote that was relevant to the theme of my blog entry. Everything above came from the little pop up that Amazon gives you to preview a book. This was not supposed to be a book report but I'm tired and Grizzly Bear Came on my Jango while I was typing and it just lured me in .

Putting myself first doesn't mean, I hate you. It just means I LOVE ME! I can't dull my shine just because your'e walking next to me. When I shine just shine with me...or don't. I'm acting brand new. I'm aiming for the stars and I expect those who I surround myself with to do the same. Theres a reason for the people who didn't make it this far with me...be it my fault or theres. I'm not in the least bit bitter, under the premise, breakups leave room for trade ups. Like Weezy says "If you leave me, you're leaving the best and you'll just have to settle for less." I'm not saying I'm better than anybody else but without your dopeness your'e hopeless. Get With It. ha ha idk I'm tripping thanks to following Rev.Run on twitter that man is my inspiration. As a matter of fact that whole family inspires me. They just have so much swagg with their familiarity of life. Never anything negative to say. I mean I'm sure they have their downs, such is life, but they bounce back so eloquently. Definitely a family to follow. With that said ill be done keep this in mind until next we speak

Jigsaws Falling Into Place.

At around fifty degrees its become evident that spring is close. I love it. Walking out into the sun with no jacket on feels great. I'm satisfied with the direction my life is heading in and I plan on keeping it moving. I got a new outfit today and all my hair products and things of that nature so I think Ill be done spending on my manscapes for the week. I'm really trying to get another car...a good one. It still rattles my brain how much money I put into fixing my old car. Its all good though. Ill just take that as the price of one more lesson learned, but I digress. I'm really happy with 2010. It started in the red room with my boys followed by a stay at the Chelsea Hotel In New York {Love New York} for my baby Marcs first art exhibit...were going back in February for Marcs bday, stupid hype about that hopefully Leebaby can make it this time. Since then theres been nothing but good times. I mean I work as hard as I play but its been worth it. My home girl SueJay just came down to visit {Love her} and everything just feels right. I'm done rambling for now so until next time healing hopes and happy thoughts my loves.
